About Writer’s Green
This site is a work in progress, exploring how journaling and blogging about wellness, life design, creativity, growth mindset, healthy living, etc. can make life better for ourselves, and for the world.
Surviving the Covid-19 pandemic and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement have emerged as important wellness topics, too. How can we respond in healthy ways to the anger, grief, depression and overwhelm these events can trigger?
For connecting with our inner selves, journaling is a proven help for emotional healing and for developing healthy habits. It’s also an excellent writing practice for self-expression, self-discovery and self-awareness.
Here’s an example of how thoughts can develop during journal writing:
If the words and thoughts we think and write and speak have the power to change the world, they also have the power to create our world. Which means our intentions matter.
Our awareness matters. Knowing the kind of life we want to live matters.
Knowing the kind of world we want to live in matters. Because we create it moment by moment with our words and thoughts and actions. That’s powerful stuff.
Do you see? If we want healthy, creative lives, we need a world that nurtures and supports that. We need to be creating the world where it’s natural and normal that black lives matter.
We have the power to do that. By taking action. By journaling, writing, exploring, blogging, sharing, .
For connecting with our community, blogging (and WordPress skills) can transform personal journal insights into words that help change the world…as soon as you push the publish button.
As writers, we may enjoy journaling and blogging alone sometimes, or even most of the time. But we need other writers, too. For feedback, for good conversation, for a fresh point of view.
So let’s stay in touch.
